shoes…
she was there first, and i thought her shoes looked ridiculous, she couldn’t walk properly, the dress was too short, the heels too high, and she didn’t look comfortable at all.
then he walked in, and i loved his shoes, so great to see such cool shoes on a young guy, great leather, great design…
but then he walked up to HER! first date? will there be second? -
Saul Bass honoured in google doodle
he was a genius, i’m just discovering the bulk of his work and philosophies, but you would know so much of his stuff and not even realise it was him.
i first looked him up at watching North by Northwest and thinking how cool the opening titles were, and that they were very similar to Madmen’s titles (based on Bass).
the Washington Post has done a really nice wrap up of his awesomeness here -
just when i thought marimekko couldn’t be any more awesome…

this is so beautifulMarina Abramovic and Ulay started an intense love story in the 70s, performing art out of the van they lived in. When they felt the relationship had run its course, they decided to walk the Great Wall of China, each from one end, meeting for one last big hug in the middle and never seeing each other again.
At her 2010 MoMa retrospective Marina performed ‘The Artist Is Present’ as part of the show, where she shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her. Ulay arrived without her knowing and this is what happened. | via Zen GarageHave seen the gifs, but the video takes the cake
